Stop Crying! Start Working!

Yes! He said it right and to the point, but unfortunately, only a few understand and cogitate about it and make things happen. This sphere we humans are dwelling in is now reinforcing over 7 billion of us. Huge number indeed but only some of us have made it to the big and consequently world knows them for their work. What does it take, to create a name, fame for yourself? Does it require extraordinary talent overshadowing others in the league?
There are multifarious questions like the ones above which one seeks while on the path to success. And why one does so? One does so because of the past, because of the situations, because of the failures. There are many success stories we can get afflatus from where in people made a major rise after several huge falls. We all seek inspiration from one thing or the other, and we find that we can also become the same; however, it requires something else, more than that to become an overnight star.
One obvious question that must be spinning round in your skulls must be, "Did those people do any different things?" There are two answers to this question. Bewildered? Yes, you must be. The first rejoinder, 'NO' says for itself. Those people are the same just like me, you and the rest. They possess no special power, simple human beings indeed. They didn't do anything different, but differently. That's the first secret to success.
The second one, 'YES' is a little brainstorming. They surely did one thing different from the ones who failed again and again. Yes, there are cases when one succeeds in one go but not all. Everyone sees a failure or many while accomplishments. It's not that they had not faced failures over and over again. the cinch that they performed was they didn't cry over their past or what happened in it.
Life is not about crying over the past, but making your own future that world remembers you; for always. Most of the people have a tendency to reprimand things, time, conditions, situations and etc. for their failures and then subsequently mourning for the grief and torment they have undergone. During those moments they forget that they are losing their most powerful weapon: time, which will make them impregnable.
If success would have come by complaining and crying over situations those people have garnered it in a much impinging way. But things just don't happen and work like that. All a man needs to do is to stop crying over the past an start working effectually because past is past that can never be changed. The only thing that is in your hands is future and it completely reckons on you to shape it or disrupt it.
Failures are necessary indeed for which they only make you acknowledged to your faults and mistakes. It's because of the failures one knows his certain errors that need to be evacuated. Failures are not to weep upon and have despair for the future. Learn from the past, work hard in present and make your future. The only thing in the world that can make you is you and no one else. You will see that things will incipient gradually and burgeon later over time.
Those who repent always repent and those who have infatuation to achieve something win the race always. Now it's on you to remorse upon the past or rejoice the future successes.

Reservation! WHY?
'Reservation': Oxford Dictionary defines the word as 1. the act of reserving something or 2. an arrangement whereby something, especially a seat or room, is reserved for a particular person. Now then what makes the title of this article entertain an involvement of the word 'WHY?' following the above word 'Reservation!'. Quite obvious we are not dealing here with that common word reservation of the English dictionary but rather about a system which is deep-rooted in our society and has influenced it in much effectual and impinging ways.
Almost all of us know about this system in our country "India". So let us take a closer look at what all it is? How is it affecting our society? What are its pre-eminence benefits? What are its real disadvantages? What effects it makes in present scenario and many more things.
First of all, let us describe this system. According to Wikipedia, "Reservation in India is the process of setting aside a certain percentage of seats (vacancies) in government institutions for members of backward and under-represented communities (defined primarily by caste and tribe). Reservation is a form of quota-based affirmative action. Reservation is governed by constitutional laws, statutory laws, and local rules and regulations. Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) ( and in some states Backward Classes among Muslims under a category called BC(M) ) are the primary beneficiaries of the reservation politics under the Constitution - with the object of ensuring a "level" playing field." So in simple words, it's a process of giving some special powers to low social groups of the society so that they don't feel inferior and can stand shoulder to shoulder with high-class people which think of themselves as the potentates of the civilization from the ancient times. Is this so? I don't think the same way but!
Yes, I do believe and admit that in the antediluvian times society was divided between two classes: upper and lower. Upper class regarded themselves as the superior group and lower class was considered as inferior and was supposed to do menial jobs which upper class thought as beneath their dignity. Therefore the upper class was opulent and flourishing while on the other hand, their counterpart was a pauper. So obviously after we entered a generation where technology is on boom we ought to provide everyone equality without being biased to any caste or religion. So we evolved with an idea of so-called reservation that would provide equal and fair opportunities to these suppressed people of ancient times to showcase their abilities and prove themselves valuable to the nation.
Indeed a great idea and B.R. Ambedkar must be given due credits to accolade his true works. Yes, there was a time when the reservation was necessary for these people. They were deprived of resources, they didn't have the knowledge, and they lacked the basic adept know-how. In order to uplift them and utilize their full potential to the nation the step was a major break-through to build ourselves as a superpower but this was the time of pre-independence to the time of Indira Gandhi ruling the nation. Is reservation still required by Indians? Obviously answer is no and there are a plethora of reasons so as to why we don't need this anymore
First, the foremost, and obvious reason of all is that today we are way better than we were in the midst of the 20th century and by 'we' it means the whole nation as one without considering gender, caste, religion or race etc. Surely as the nation developed, so does its inhabitants and yes these inferior groups too. Then what makes them liable and eligible for reservation now? They have garnered much-required resources, they have skills, they are adept and they do have knowledge either. Then why is reservation still prevailing, why?
Secondly, reservation completely deteriorates the true competition. There is 49.5% reservation in India today. That simply means that out of 1000 seats available General category would fight for only 505; almost half of the total and the special category can fight on all 1000. Bewildering in fact! They were suppressed in earlier times that don't mean the conditions are the same till date. These people know their rights and if anyone tries to deprive them of these, there are certain laws to protect their individuality. The reservation has made the competition twice harder for General category and twice easier for the reservation beneficiaries.
Thirdly to prove yourself you need opportunities, not things for granted. I can still recall the procedure for selection to IITs/IIMs/NITs and all other government funded prestigious institutes. Students from general category scoring far better than a category student don't get selected to prime institutes of the country just because he belongs to the general category. No one knows by birth, who he is? Which category does he belong to? It's only us who had made these things occur to him but just because he is not a category student doesn't make him ineligible or doubtful of his skillful assets.
See I am neither against category people nor reservation. In fact, people who have skills and abilities, and have the courage to prove themselves doesn't stand in need of reservation to prove themselves whether they belong to a category or not. Problem is with the system that we ought to and has to change in order to have an unbiased selection of true talent.
All these reasons are self-explanatory why reservation should be banned in India now and if at all it has to be given then it should be more meaningful in its definition. Instead of setting the basis for it as category keep it on income or person's disabilities that is actually worthy of it.
Succinctly problem is not with reservation, the problem is with the way it is propagating and used as an advantage in place of requirements. The true meaning of reservation has limited itself to dictionaries such as Oxford and to emanate its actual meaning once again only we have to realize our responsibilities and do the needful so that talent can be felicitated as it should be.

Are We Really Independent?
August 15, 1947 - A day which every Indian remembers and will remember. Not only the generation, who is currently living or who is not with us today remembers this day, but the coming generations will also. So what makes this day so special for every Indian? Is it any special occasion related to mythology or something else? Don't contemplate so much, 15 August is Indian Independence Day!
India-A land of rich and diverse, culture and heritage. From the ancient times, it has been blessed with numerous marvelous wonders. Be it its land, the flora, and fauna, the various traditions we have got or be it the several religions we are glorified with. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Gujarat to Arunachal Pradesh, one can easily see the eclat of a truly incredible India. Those were the days when we were called 'the golden bird' of the world however like everything else destiny was something else for the Indians for the upcoming centuries.
Yes, indeed I am talking about the period when the British ruled India. It was in 1601; British first landed in India with a name of a trading company 'the East India Company' and with the rise in the empire, abreast began the fall of a nation. They didn't do any exceptional thing, but simple divide and rule strategy to win over us. They provoked us against each other. Brothers started fighting with each other; countrymen emanated fighting and shedding blood of each other. What did we get from all this? Nothing but lose our freedom and liberty. But there is a saying, "Everything happens for a good" and it must have also happened for good that after being a slave of another country we aroused a feeling of brotherhood among each other and pre-eminently greater than that we aroused a feeling of patriotism for our motherland. People began to untie and started various movements to move out the British from India.
There is another saying, " I am no bird, and no net ensnares me; I am a free human being with an independent will". With incessant great freedom fighters outraging the British, infinite revolutions and movements, perpetual deaths of the countrymen, it was finally on August 15, 1947, the British were moved out from the divine land and India was independent once again as a country.
Obviously, we lost many things while being independent once again. We lost many great leaders. We lost our entrenched acclaimed identity, we lost our resources which foreigners took away with them and much more valuable countless assets but we gained back one thing above all these: our dear motherland. Salute to all those freedom fighters that made this day possible so that you, me and all of us can live and breathe in a free country, in a free INDIA.

I got an opportunity today on this auspicious day to express my intense gratitude for this paramount day in our life. Today we all are celebrating our 69th Independence Day. 68 years friends, 68 years have passed away the day we got our freedom back. No doubt these 68 years have been full of highs and lows for us.
It is said, 'Each coin has two faces' and yes these years after Independence can be seen perspective to two sides. One face is a positive face where India encountered revolutionary changes in every field and the other is the dark side of our country which grew abreast with the prior face.
First let us talk about the first face, 'the good one'. We excelled in every field be it science and technology, sports, finance, developing the nation or anything else. We have outdone others and we continue to do so. We have developed our defense sectors, agriculture science, and our villages and yes there are some areas we need to work upon and excel other like health, basic amenities on which we are continuously progressing to make India a better nation. We have one of the world's largest army, navy and air force simultaneously. We protect the world's highest peak. We innovated and were an integral part of many new inventions taking place every now and then. We gave the world many great scientists and leaders. We have also made progress on one of the booming sectors in vogue i.e. IT sector and are trudging towards to become a new superpower with each passing day. But one certain question arises here, "Are we really independent today?" The rejoinder can be given after comparing the brighter side with its counterpart and not merely on inferences.
Now it is the turn of the second face, the bad one, the darker one to be thrown light upon. We had been at the war against neighboring countries, faced some serious revolts, saw some major scams and much more. I see children begging on roads to date and I don't feel they enjoy their freedom. in this jet age, I see women having fear while going out at nights in their own nation and I don't see them enjoying and realizing their freedom. I see children having a lack of amenities such as sports, education and I don't see them enjoying their freedom. I see reservation still prevailing in the country and I don't see everyone enjoying their independence too. Still, I go out in my city I see beggars sleeping on the sidewalks of the road and I don't see them having their liberty. I see politicians instead of discussing serious issues like poverty, fighting over personal and party issues between which common man's freedom is pissed off.
So are we independent and individualistic now? In terms of evacuating a foreign country from our own land yes we do. However, in terms of achieving a true independence, we still have a long way to go and more milestones to be procured and accomplished.
In last I would like to add that, we have a promising youth: yes we have which will surely make us matchless and proud one day; a rich culture: we got it from our forefathers and love to preserve it and follow our traditions; and the best country in the world-INDIA: no doubt we have and dare you say anything about it.

The moment a new infant is born, its eyes encounter two human beings which play an exceptional and conspicuous role throughout its life. Yes, it’s none other than his parents. One of them is a female which we call our ‘mother’ and the other one which is a male as our ‘father’. There are many great sayings that how important a mother is for a child, the role she plays, the love she nurtures and showers on her children but hardly one knows and conceive that “being a father is also not that easy”!
Obviously, a mother is very vital for a child but a father; he is a true guardian and a silent knight that bulwarks his children. It’s a father who infuses manners and etiquettes in a child. Obviously, basic manners are taught by a mother but a father shows a child how to implement them in real life. It’s him who teaches his child how to be disciplined in life and a child seeks and learns all these by none other than the quintessence himself, his father. What better example one can have other than his father when it comes to being a disciplinarian?
We all face failures in our life at some point or the other and then in those times, we feel low-spirited. We are grief-stricken, lugubrious and dejected at the bottom of our soul. Then there comes our man, our father who shows genuine compassion for us, who is there to support us, to make us realize that failures are the part of life. We fail so as to learn from our mistakes and do better in coming moments before us. He teaches to utilize and take advantage of each opportunity given to us and make the best efforts we can and emanate as invincible and the way a father elucidates his child cannot be pointed out in words.
Our father possesses something matchless and peculiar trait. You all must have seen your father as austere most of the times. Some of us even hate that part of his but do we know why he is so? Doesn’t he like to show caress towards his child for which he will be loved? He does but unfortunately does not have the fortune to show us his lenient side so as to constitute strength in our characteristic. He builds a stalwart nature so that we can fortitude ourselves in hard times or when we become a parent we can provide a strong arm to our children in their tough times.
He stands by us when we stand in need of someone to backbone us. There are always times when the life is just not pleasant anyways and we are so low esteemed that we want someone to succor in our enduring days. He reinforces us and makes us ac-knowledgeable to the real world. He makes us what we are in our subsequent years of life.
Okay, how many of you remember your childhood? All of you I suppose! Can you recall the moment when you asked your father for something and sometimes he denied and sometimes he assented without any hesitation? Yes, we all can. He does that even now. That’s our father. Albeit he fulfills all our wishes and covets right on the time but also want that his child should learn the true meaning of an asset and should not take anything for granted just because wants are fulfilled beforehand. It is his teachings that we are capable to stand on our own feet and make a name in this fast-paced world and earn a livelihood for us.
However, whatever a father does for his child he never forgets to shower unconditional love just like a mother. It's his this catalog of perpetual qualities that makes his children proudly say: I am proud to be a child of my father!

Our Complete Man
We know many people,
In our life.
All important to us,
For the roles, they play.
But one is different from all other,
We call him our father.
He is open-minded,
Changes with world and time.
Loyal in his everything,
Wants everyone to know the truth.
Supportiveness is one of his traits,
Shows compassion without any wait.
Teacher for the whole living,
Teaches the lessons for life.
Best exemplar you can have,
Instruct by quintessence.
Empathic by nature,
Challenges children to rise above failure.
Provider of everything to you,
Fulfills all your wants.
You depend on him,
Until you become self-dependent.
